Jack O’Donnell, started OTECH in 1999 and served as President and CEO until 2022. O’Donnell was a 40 year veteran of the plastics industry, whose successful sales and management career in the industry started with shop floor duties as a young man and went on to build a thriving enterprise that is positioned as an independent plastics industry leader in North America. History
1999
Incorporated in 1999 as a PVC Compounder and houseware manufacturer.
2006
OTECH was reorganized and spun off its houseware manufacturing operation to focus on the compounding business.
2009
OTECH acquired Resource Alliance Inc., a manufacturer of color concentrates, and formed Color Resource as a wholly owned subsidiary of OTECH.
2012
OTECH installed a 66mm twin screw extrusion line to process TPR, SEBS and other rubber alloy compounds.
2014
OTECH added 35,000 sq. ft. manufacturing space and installed an automated medical Class VI PVC 6” extrusion line.
2016
OTECH completion of a $2 million manufacturing automation upgrade. These enhancements include loss weight feeders, electronic bulk handling technologies and electronic process controls.
2018
February – $1 million renovation and laboratory upgrade.
July – 10 million pound capacity, small batch specialty color compounding line.
2019
July – Completion of $2.5 million F80 Banbury line – expanding production capacity by 65 million pounds for specialty alloys and thermoplastic elastomers.
2020
Color Resource subsidiary sold to Chroma Color.
2021
• Line 4 extruder upgrade increases capacity and efficiency by 50%.
• OTECH implements EOS company-wide with great results.
• Adds Conductive and ESD line of compounds to product offering.
2022
• Major silo and feeding system upgrades to lines 2 and 3 to increase efficiency and capacity by 30%.
• Expanded workforce by 20% to meet demand.
• Groundbreaking on new compounding facility in Auburn, Mass.
• Line 5 upgrade to Banbury compounding capability for conductive and specialty black compounds.
• Line 10 groundbreaking adds over 50 million pounds of flexible vinyl compounding capacity.

Jason has 20+ years of experience as a development chemist along with strong leadership in plant and laboratory management. Jason earned a B.S. in Chemistry.
Ted Irvine
President
Ted has 35 years of plastics experience in key account sales, management, executive leadership and marketing. Ted has a bachelors degree in English and History.
Kristine Conley
Director- Corporate Finance
Kristine is an MBA and CPA, with immense experience in fast-paced manufacturing and logistic companies.
Jim Grimley
VP-Sales
Jim brings 35 years of experience in successful plastics industry, technical sales, management and business development. Jim also has a B.S. in Chemistry.
Jim Miller
Plant Manager
Jim manages a team of 70+ plant operators to ensure quality manufacturing operations. With 25+ years in the plastics industry, Jim has a knack for managing a variety of teams to complete and exceed company objectives and goals.
